CONCEPT

 

 

During a workshop for designing a 15cm cube that would create different effects when light hits it from different angles, Kumi Oda, Rosa Smits and myself set out to create a minimalistic and colorful cube.

 

Using balsa wood strips and transparent / colored plastic sheets, we constructed this rather Japanese-like cube.

 

The morae lines effect appears in the shadows whenwhen light hits it from different angles and it's hypnotizing.
